Failure(s) to Feed

Took the new pistol (Cobra Patriot 9S) out for a test run yesterday, send a box or five down range and get used to the feel, trigger, etc.

Using Winchester White Box 115g 9mm Luger FMJ rounds (the cheap range fodder they sell at Wal Mart), I had a failure to feed.

Well, several, actually.

Loaded the magazine, insert it into the gun, release the slide, and ... well, it didn't feed.

Tap/Rack didn't fix it.

Removed the magazine, removed that round, tried again, same results.

Lather, rinse, repeat x 10, save ONE round that seated properly as expected.  Fired, and the next round failed to load.

Switched ammo to Hornady 124g TAP, same results x 5.

Pics are below.  I sent an email to Cobra, waiting for a reply, but if anyone has ideas, I'm all ears.  Until then, it's back to carrying the Taurus 709.

Single round in the magazine:

Magazine inserted, action still locked open:

Slide lock released, round hung up just below the feed ramp:

Doesn't look like the magazine follower has enough 'tilt' to actually allow the round to be picked off in the correct orientation to hit the feed ramp and go into the barrel.
