This is my rifle

Out of nothing more than sheer curiosity, I contacted Remington through their website to inquire when my 700 was made. I purchased it from a friend, and never thought to ask him about the gun's history... dumb.

At any rate: Per the serial number on the barrel, which is the original equipment according to all the information available to me, Remington tells me it was made in 1975.

Three years after I was born.

Think about that for a second.... this rifle, which has the original parts, is 36 years old, and can still shoot dime-sized groups at 100 yards.

That's pretty cool.
